2020 OLYMPIC GAMES

The 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games were held at the Saitama Super Arena, located in the city of Saitama in the Tokyo metropolitan area, from July 26 to August 8, 2021.

12 Teams participated, divided into 3 Groups of 4 each.

During the group stage, the teams will meet once in a  system of all against all . At the end of this phase, the best two from each group and the best two from among the teams that finish in third position will qualify for the quarterfinals.

For the final phase, the eight teams classified to the quarterfinals will be divided into two new groups. The first will be made up of the four teams with the best score and these will be the  seeded  In rooms. A draw, which will take place at the end of the preliminary phase, will determine the quarterfinal pairings between the teams in these two groups. The final phase will be a single knockout game and the quarterfinal winners will advance to the semi-finals. The two teams that lose the semifinals will play the match for the bronze, while the winners will play the final for the Olympic gold.
